Brief description of course:
3-day course including the following learning objectives. Examine theory and best practice with respect to simulation-based education (SBE) and debriefing. Discuss principles and best practices of sessions development including design/development of scenarios and prebriefs / debriefs. Discuss principles and best practices in the creation of the ‘safe’ container for SBE. Review current recommendations and guidance for safety in all aspects of SBE. Be orientated to human simulators including their capabilities and limitations, using SM3G Plus. Work in an interprofessional group to design/develop and deliver a simulation session (including a prebrief / scenario and debrief).
