The Otago Simulation Interest Group (OSIG) is a community of healthcare professionals and simulation enthusiasts
WELCOME TO NZASH.
We are a national organisation for all things simulation. We promote simulation-based learning in healthcare. In an educational and clinical world of uncertainty, we aim to be a resource and a meeting point for simulation education in New Zealand.
The Executive team continues to build networks with regional interest groups and maintain links with International Organisations to increase members’ resources and connectivity. We continue to develop and update the website and have included areas for the sharing of resources and increasing the NZASH profile of social media.
The formation of NZ Health gives us a unique opportunity to promote simulation education as the new milieu defines itself. We would like to lead that discussion as an organisation, helping to further education through simulation.
Brad Peckler

Jo is the Simulation Educator and Cardiorespiratory Nurse Educator at Health NZ’s Dunedin Hospital. She completed her MHSc in 2019 and the topic was Sim Facilitation.
Paul Winder
Paul is an RN with a background of 30 years’ experience in Critical Care. He now works full-time as a Nurse Specialist in Resuscitation and Simulation and is based at Southland Hospital.
Paul has been involved in the delivery of simulation-based education for more than 20 years and remains passionate about the importance it plays in developing interprofessional teamwork and a culture of respect and reflective practice.
