NetworkZ™ is a national team training intervention programme for surgical teams funded by ACC, and delivered by the University of Auckland, and supported by the Health Quality and Safety Commission.
NetworkZ™ is now being implemented at DHBs around New Zealand with great feedback. The implementation involves training local staff to deliver the programme and training real surgical teams in real time in their departments. NetworkZ™ vision of ‘Better outcomes in acute care’ is achieved through an inclusive multidisciplinary approach and not limited to the operating theatre.
NetworkZ™ reflects the interest in the programme for all acute care settings. The teamwork principles that underpin the programme resonate with all teams delivering acute care.
