Welcome to the NZASH website.
We, the NZASH Executive Group, continue to explore ways that NZASH can add value to its members and develop healthcare simulation in New Zealand.
We have introduced a number of changes to NZASH over the past two years and need your help to advise us of things that might further connect the simulation community of Aotearoa, New Zealand. Many of the changes that have been introduced; Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter accounts, for example, have been requested by the NZASH membership
We have also added a “Communication Contact” to the website manager to make information sharing easier and more effective. These developments are only effective if fuelled by content and discussion from yourselves.
To make NZASH more accessible to its members we have regionalised the executive portfolio and activities. That means your regional simulation interest group is able to influence the way the national group makes its decisions. If you are part of a regional group and are interested to know how NZASH can support your work please get in touch. We have plans in place to offer to provide practical help.
We are very pleased to announce that planning for NZASH 2020 is now well underway. The Canterbury Collaborative Simulation Group, chaired by Christine Beasley, is functioning as the conference organising committee. We have confirmed two of our keynote speakers, both internationally renowned in the world of healthcare simulation. Jenny Rudolph and Victoria Brazil will be well known to many of you. They will both be offering keynote presentations and workshops at our conference in November 2020 in New Zealand’s newest city, Christchurch.
We are fast approaching International Simulation Week (September 16th – 20th). Resources for you to advocate for the use of simulation-based education and learning are available, to download and adapt, on the SSH website www.ssih.org
